HIFI Docs

Wallets are how value moves on-chain in HIFI. Every user can have one or more HIFI Wallets - managed wallets that HIFI provisions per chain - plus any number of External Wallets, which are whitelisted third-party addresses used as withdrawal destinations. This section covers four resources:

Resource	What it’s for
HIFI Wallet	Provision managed wallets, fetch wallet details, and read live on-chain balances.
External Wallet	Register and manage non-custodial addresses tied to a counterparty.
Deposit Offers	Accept or reject incoming Canton transfers, which arrive as two-step offers rather than direct deposits.

Not every currency is available on every chain. Requesting a balance for an unsupported currency/chain combination returns a RESOURCE_NOT_ELIGIBLE error.
